Flawed organic foods study really just a media psyop to confuse the public about organics while pushing GMOs

by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, NaturalNews Editor
(NaturalNews) If you read the mainstream news headlines today, you might be shocked to see headlines that say things like, “Organic foods no healthier than conventional foods” or “Organic foods may not be healthier for you.” You’ll see these headlines all across the usual disinfo outlets: NPR, Associated Press, Reuters, Washington Post, WebMD and elsewhere.
The problem with these headlines is that they are flatly false. The study these news outlets are quoting actually confirms that organic foods are far healthier for you than conventional foods.
So how is the mainstream media lying about this? By fudging the facts, of course.
For starters, the “study” isn’t even a study. It was just a review of other studies. No new laboratory analysis was done whatsoever!
The “review” was conducted at Stanford University and published in the Annals of Internal Medicine. You can read the abstract here: http://annals.org/article.aspx?articleid=1355685
As the study itself concludes:
• Exposure to chemical pesticides was significantly lower in organic foods (roughly 30% less than conventional foods).
• Exposure to “superbugs” in meat (antibiotic-resistant bacteria) was also significantly lower in organic foods (roughly a 33% risk difference).
• The study conclusion says, right out, that “Consumption of organic foods may reduce exposure to pesticide residues and antibiotic-resistant bacteria.”

How the media lied

Somehow, the mainstream media took this study and then lied to their readers, claiming organic food is “no different” than conventional food. That is a flat-out lie, of course. Because it fails to mention all the following:
• GMOs are not allowed in organic foods. So GMO exposure is many orders of magnitude higher in conventional foods, where GMOs are commonplace.
• Artificial chemical sweeteners are not allowed in organic foods. But conventional foods are often sweetened with toxic chemicals such as aspartame or saccharin.
• The study completely failed to look at the use of genetically-modified bovine growth hormones (rBGH) in conventional milk versus organic milk.
• The environmental impact of conventional food production is devastating to the planet. Chemical pesticides aren’t just found in the crops; they also run off into the streams, rivers and oceans. No mainstream media article that covered this story even bothered to mention this hugely important issue — it’s one of the primary reasons to buy organic!
• The funding source of the study is listed as “None.” Does anybody really believe that? All these scientists supposedly volunteered their time and don’t get paid to engage in scientific endeavors? It’s absurd. The money for the study had to come from somewhere, and the fact that the Annals of Internal Medicine is hidingthe source by listing “none” is just further evidence of scientific wrongdoing.

A total psyop to confuse the public and push GMOs

Ultimately, this study comes down to being a total psyop pushed by the mainstream media for the purpose of confusing the public and ultimately promoting GMOs.
The media’s coverage of this is pure disinfo along the lines of other health disinfo campaigns such as:
• Mercury in vaccines is actually GOOD for you and makes vaccines work better: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyR2XeLjYTU
• GMOs shouldn’t be labeled on foods: it should be a huge corporate secret! https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151004427426316&set=pb.35590531315….
• Flu shots are great! Take more flu shots and you’ll be protected from the flu (total disinfo, a complete lie). http://www.naturalnews.com/033998_influenza_vaccines_effectiveness.ht…
• West Nile Virus is a huge danger to everyone. Run! Run! Spray yourself with deadly chemicals to be “safe!” http://www.naturalnews.com/037039_West_Nile_virus_chemical_spraying_f…
• Vitamins are dangerous! Don’t take vitamins! They might kill you! http://www.naturalnews.com/033883_vitamins_mortality_risk.html http://www.naturalnews.com/033893_mainstream_media_vitamins.html

Zombified government workers and regulation enforcers use these ‘obedience phrases’ to demand your compliance

by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, NaturalNews Editor
(NaturalNews) Tyranny is upon us. But tyranny isn’t put in place by some all-powerful evil force that suddenly assaults our freedoms; it’s ratcheted up one day at a time by the People themselves — the government workers who are willing to do anything as long as they’re told “it’s the rules.”
You’ll encounter these brain-dead government workers everywhere: At the airport security line, your local city council meetings, and even at the local DMV. These are the people who blindly follow rules and regulations that often make no sense whatsoever, such as the TSA now shoving testing sticks into your drinks at the airport, presumable to test your beverage for explosives. (http://www.infowars.com/video-shows-tsas-bizarre-new-security-policy/)
Fortunately, there are some code phrases these people use which indicates their status as a brain-dead government worker — a zombie drone — who will do anything for a paycheck and the promise of power. I call these “obedience phrases.”
For your amusement and safety, I hereby present these obedience phrases so you can instantly spot these wussified, zombified government enforcers in a future encounter:

“I’m just doing my job”

This phrase is usually uttered by some pot-bellied government tyrant who knows he or she is doing something highly immoral and possibly illegal.
Example: “I’m just doing my job” says the TSA security goon as he’s reaching down the pants of your six-year-old under the ridiculous presumption that terrorists might be hiding in there.
If instructed by DHS to molest senior citizens at security checkpoints, TSA employees will gleefully obey, saying “I’m just doing my job” as they strip search your grandma and destroy her colostomy bag.

“It’s required by regulations”

This obedient, brain-dead phrase is often uttered by private-sector workers who are quoting government regulations. More often than not, they’re quoting the Patriot Act.
Example: You’re at a bank trying to open a new account, and you say to the bankster, “So why do you need the physical address where I live, plus my social security number, plus all my financial records and numerous ID cards?”
The bankster replies, “It’s required by regulations.”
Oh, gee, then I guess that makes being info-jacked perfectly fine then!
The phrase, “It’s required by regulations” is NOT a reason… it’s a linguistic evasion of a reason!

“I have to, or I’ll lose my job”

This is a favorite phrase of police officers who beat the crap out of some innocent woman and then fudge together a false report in order to place the blame on the victim. This just happened recently, by the way. Here’s the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHh2DMGWTRs
And this second video shows police body-slamming an elderly woman in the Wal-Mart parking lot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IpT1BQMQ4tU
By the way, when East German soldiers shot people trying to escape East Germany by scaling the Berlin Wall, they said exactly the same thing: “I have to, or I’ll lose my job!”
Because their job, you see, is far more important than your life.

“It’s the law”

This phrase is usually uttered by some brain-dead collectivist rule-follower who can’t think for themselves so they have to quote “the law” without thinking about what the law was really written for.
For example, when officials in Oregon recently arrested and jailed a man for collecting rainwater on his own land (http://tv.naturalnews.com/videoedit.asp?v=E9D083FE1A928B3B0145570778F…), they no doubt said during his arrest, “It’s the law!”
So apparently, if some state writes a law that says, for example, all black people are sub-humans, then that makes it true, eh? I use this example because it’s a part of U.S. history. The infamous “Dred Scott” decision, handed down by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1857, declared that blacks brought to America as slaves were “sub-humans” and not accorded any protections under the U.S. Constitution. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dred_Scott_v._Sandford)
So does that make it right, then? Because it was the law? People who follow “the law” without thinking are not merely morons; they’re dangerous to society as a whole. “The law” should never replace cognitive function.
Just because the Supreme Court declares something to be “the law” doesn’t really make it so. Supreme Court decisions, remember, are nothing more than mental constructswhich are agreed upon by certain members of society. If the Supreme Court declares all wage earners to be the property of the King, would you line up and obediently follow “the law?”

“If that were true, I would have already heard about it”

This is a favorite quote of a mind-numbed egomaniac who somehow thinks they already know everything. When you tell them something they have difficulty believing — such as the fact that fluoride is a chemical pesticide that harms the brain — they resort to this pathetic, wussified word collection: “If that were true, I would have already heard about it!”
This is a favorite phrase of doctors, by the way. Doctors are taught in medical school that they know everything and that nothing true exists outside whatever they are taught (brainwashed) in medical school. So when you tell a doctor something really simple like, “Oh, by the way, sodium nitrite causes cancer and it’s found in hot dogs and bacon,” the doctor will usually scowl and say, “If that were true, I would have already heard about it!”
Or maybe you’re just an arrogant fool, doc. It takes a truly delusional person to think they know so much that they can’t learn something new from time to time.

Watch out for these red flag “obedience phrases” of code enforcers and brain-dead rule followers

Rules are necessary, of course, in any civilized society. Speed limits make reasonable sense in neighborhoods, as do rules such as, “You can’t burn down your neighbor’s house.”
But rules, laws, regulations and Supreme Court decisions should never be followed blindly. The gift of being human is the gift of having a conscience, a soul, a mind and the ability to discern right from wrong. If a law sounds wrong and feels wrong, it’s probably a bad law and should be abandoned. If a regulationencroaches upon your Constitutionally-protected rights, that regulation should be aggressively rejected and reformed.

Rules, laws and regulations have no magical powers. They are fictional constructs of society.

They do not exist in the real world. They only exist in the minds of those who share in the delusion of their existence. As you are a being with free will and a soul, you can choose to reject delusional thinking and operate according to the fundamental principles of honesty, ethics and civility.
If you practice this, what you’ll find is that most people in society today are technically insane. They have an almost fanatical belief in fictional constructs called “laws.” They believe laws have magical powers and that regulations bind their thoughts and actions. In an effort to comply with all these laws, rules and regulations, they enslave themselves in a matrix of control. They are the desperate rule followers who ultimately drive every nation to ruin.
These are the people who always do what they’re told: They line up for flu shots, they vote on voting day, they have their children vaccinated and they agree to undergo chemotherapy if their doctor tells them to. They are the great mindless masses that George Carlin called “Obedient workers!”
I miss Carlin. He would have drilled into the TSA with a vengeance. In just three minutes, George Carlin delivered a stunning narrative that was years ahead of its time. It’s full of profanity, but it’s completely accurate about systems of control and why society’s controllers don’t want you to be smart enough to think for yourself. Vitamin B3 may be the cure for drug-resistant superbug infections

by Ethan A. Huff, staff writer

(NaturalNews) While the pharmaceutical
industry is busy trying to conjure up new drugs to tackle the
antibiotic-resistant “superbug” epidemic, a recent study published in the
Journal of Clinical Investigation explains how simple vitamin B3, also
known as nicotinamide (NAM), taken in high doses may effectively thwart staph
and other potentially life-threatening infections without the need for
drugs.

Researchers from both Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in
California and the Linus Pauling Institute (LPI) at Oregon State
University
(OSU) collaborated with one another to test the effects of high
doses of NAM administered to both live mice and human blood infected with
Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus). What they found was that
vitamin B3 significantly boosts the number and effectiveness of neutrophils, or
white blood cells that target infections.

It turns out that, when taken
in doses far higher than those recommended by the federal government, vitamin B3
is capable of significantly boosting the body’s own natural immune system to the
point where many diseases simply cannot survive. According to the study, vitamin
B3 is capable of increasing immune capacity by 1,000 times, allowing the
body to naturally fight MRSA and other deadly pathogens.

“This could give
us a new way to treat staph infections that can be deadly,” said Adrian Gombart,
an associate professor at LPI, about the dramatic findings. “It’s a way to tap
into the power of the innate immune system and stimulate it to provide a more
powerful and natural immune response.”

NAM is not just effective against
S. aureus, though. Several other virulent pathogens, including human
immunodeficiency virus (HIV), also seem to respond favorably to NAM’s dramatic
immune-boosting capacity. By bolstering the immune system’s natural defenses,
NAM appears to facilitate the destruction and elimination of a host of deadly
pathogens and viruses.

“NAM is not only effective against S.
aureus
, it also has demonstrated efficacy against other major human
pathogens, such as K. pneumoniae (Klebsiella pneumoniae) and P.
aeruginosa
(Pseudomonas aeruginosa), in our human peripheral blood
killing assay,” wrote the authors in their discussion. “We have demonstrated
that NAM, as an HDAC inhibitor, can improve host defense and thereby promote
bacterial clearance.”

And unlike antibiotic drugs, vitamin B3 does not
destroy all the beneficial bacteria in the gut along with the harmful bacteria.
So for most people, taking mega-doses of therapeutic vitamin B3 is preferable to
taking immune-destroying antibiotics that can later promote the growth of
Candida albicans and other harmful yeast overgrowths and bacterial
imbalances within the body.

Study that sought to disparage health of eggs was authored by scientists with financial ties to Big Pharma

by J. D. Heyes

(NaturalNews) Do you remember recent reports about a
supposedly unbiased scientific study that concluded that eggs, in actuality, are
not good for you?

If your so-called “BS meter” suddenly pegged, you had
good reason to be skeptical. Turns out the scientists who conducted the study
have ties to Big Pharma.

First, a little recap.

Writing in the
journal Atherosclerosis, researchers lumped the consumption of egg yolks
with smoking, saying in essence that one was just as bad as the other in
clogging your arteries.

Dr. J. David Spence, a professor of neurology at
Western University in Canada, wrote that he and his team found a
relationship between the consumption of egg yolks and the development of
atherosclerosis, a condition in which arteries become clogged, causing a range
of health problems, the most prominent of which are heart attack and stroke. In
atherosclerosis, plaque accumulates over time along the walls of arteries,
narrowing them.

The team surveyed 1,231 middle-aged male and female
patients who had been referred to a vascular clinic at the London Health
Sciences Center’s University Hospital
after they had suffered a
“mini-stroke” or a regular stroke.

Spence’s team examined the patients’
carotid wall thickness then compared it with answers about egg yolk consumption,
exercise habits, smoking and other lifestyle factors. In the end, Spence and his
team concluded that the top 20 percent of egg consumers had narrowing of the
carotid artery that was two-thirds that of smokers.

Bogus
methodology?

Spence admitted that it did not have data to look at
overall dietary patterns, and that, say other experts, is part of the
problem.

Spence’s entire research seems to be predicated on a single
questionnaire in which the patients examined were asked about “their lifestyle
and medications, including pack-years of smoking, and the number of egg yolks
consumed per week times the number of years consumed (egg-yolk
years).”

Further, according to paleolithic health guru Mark Sisson, study methodology that is
dependent upon the subject’s memory, honesty and accuracy is, by definition,
unreliable.

“Moreover, since it’s a single data point, no causality can
be ascribed,” adds a critique of the study by the Alliance for Natural
Health
.

“This study does not address other dietary factors known to
influence cardiovascular risk, such as saturated and trans fat, or dietary
fiber,” Dr. David J. Gordon, a special assistant for clinical studies at the
Division of Cardiovascular Sciences at the National Heart Blood and Lung
Institute
, told Huffington Post.

Funded by Big
Pharma

Furthermore, the study’s authors admitted to conflicts of
interest when performing a similar study two years ago, the ANH pointed out. In
a special “Conflicts of Interest” section posted at the end of the study, which was published in The Canadian Journal of
Cardiology
, while Spence and his team “receives funding from the purveyors
of margarine or eggs,” Spence, along with fellow team member Dr. Jean Davignon,
“have received honoraria and speaker’s fees from several pharmaceutical
companies manufacturing lipid-lowering drugs.” In addition, Davignon “has
received support from Pfizer Canada for an annual atherosclerosis symposium; his
research has been funded in part by Pfizer Canada, AstraZeneca Canada Inc and
Merck Frosst Canada Ltd.,” the disclosure said.

The ANH said it smells a
rat.

“See how this works? Big Pharma has a vested interest in selling
drugs to lower cholesterol,” the group said in its critique. “Big Pharma funds
research that says our favorite breakfast food causes high cholesterol (which is
not true). The idea is to give people…a false choice: change a lifelong
dietary habit, or pop a pill. Big Pharma thinks they know which choice most
people will make.”

Full disclosure: A number of physicians and the Mayo
Clinic believe egg yolks can be harmful, if eaten in excess. And at least one
study – detailed here – found that eggs are lower in cholesterol
(while higher in vitamin D) than originally
thought.

50 years too late… thalidomide drug maker issues an ‘apology’ to victims

by Craig Stellpflug
(NaturalNews) Remember thalidomide, developed for morning sickness and prescribed to pregnant women in the 1950s and 1960s? The aftermath of this Big Pharma fiasco left around 10,000 reported babies born with malformed limbs and missing arms or legs. Victims of thalidomide defects said that a recent apology from the German inventor of the drug is too little, too late. After repeatedly reminding this errant company of its criminal behavior at the negotiating table, British thalidomide victim Geoff Adams-Spink is not satisfied with this apology.
But Adams Spink, head of the European Dysmelia Reference Information Centre, says: “This is an important first step. The next is to compensate everyone damaged by their so-called ‘totally harmless’ drug.” At a ceremony in the western German city of Stolberg, where the company is based, Chief executive, Harald Stock said: “In the name of Gruenenthal … I want to take this opportunity to express our deep regret over the consequences of Contergan and our deep sympathy for the victims, their mothers and families.”

50 years of “silent shock”??

The victims are blamed for the companies silence! While thousands of surviving victims of thalidomide struggle on, the company excused its deafening silence by placating the victims with these words: “We also ask for forgiveness for not reaching out to you from human to human for almost 50 years … We ask that you see our long speechlessness as a sign of the silent shock that your fate has caused us.
To add insult to injury, the Gruenenthal apologywas made with a public unveiling of a statue which portrays a child with shortened arms. “The fact that Gruenenthal, a billion-euro company, is paying 5,000 euros (for the statue) is a slap in the face of every victim,” said the federal association of Contergan victims.

No time for “silent shock” for parents

Lynette Rowe, now 50, was born without arms or legs after her mother took thalidomide for a month while pregnant. Lynette won a recent settlement in July against thalidomide’s Australian distributor. Lynette’s mother, Wendy Rowe, said the apology was an insult. “It’s the sort of apology you give when you’re not really sorry.” Referring to Stock’s statement of ‘silent shock’, Wendy Rowe said: “Our family couldn’t have gone into silent shock. We had to get up and face each day and every day and cope with the incredible damage that Gruenenthal drug did to Lyn and our family.” The Rowe family’s legal firm, Slater & Gordon, called the drug manufacturer’s apology “pathetic”. “It is too little, too late and riddled with further deceit.”
Back in the US, complaints have been filed against GlaxoSmithKline, Sanofi-Aventis, Avantor Performance Materials and Gruenenthal, with plaintiffs claiming birth defects resulted from their mothers’ use of thalidomide.

Bad drug that is still in use

Although not prescribed for morning sickness anymore, today thalidomide is still widely used as a drug in spite of hard lessons learned. It is even being experimented with for treatment of Multiple Myeloma and Irritable Bowel Syndrome. The main side effects of thalidomideinclude birth defects, peripheral neuropathy, insomnia, deep vein thrombosis, fatigue, constipation and on and on and on… Thalidomide treatments even come with guidelines for “managing side effects”.

NEWSFLASH: There are no such things as “side effects”

There are no such things as “side effects”, they are ALL EFFECTS. Some effects of any drug are desirable and some effects are not. The key for Big Pharma is to downplay the negative effects and make billions of dollars on marketing the desirable effects. Billions more, that is, than the resulting lawsuit payouts that plague every drug. As with thalidomide, the “side effects” of most drugs are a veritable laundry list of horrors from a sci-fi terror flick while the “side effects” of a wholesome diet, exercise and targeted nutritional supplements are health and vitality.
Which one do you desire? Health and vitality or managing “side effects”… You choose.

Mainstream media begins questioning safety of fluoride

by Jonathan Benson, staff writer
(NaturalNews) Dr. Keith Ablow, a prominent psychiatrist and member of the Fox News “Medical A-Team,” recently wrote an editorial for the news giant that questions the safety of water fluoridation in light of all the recent science illustrating its dangers. The piece is indicative of an increasing awareness, even within the mainstream media, that Americans have not been told the full story about fluoride, despite having it largely forced on them in the name of promoting dental health.
Citing a recent scientific review compiled by experts at Harvard University that identifies a clear link between fluoride exposure and brain damage, Dr. Ablow rightly presses the issue about whether or not fluoridating public water supplies truly is in the best interests of promoting public health. NaturalNews also recently covered the Harvard study, which was published in the journal Environmental Health Perspectives. (http://www.naturalnews.com/036873_fluoride_lower_IQ_brain_damage.html)
Surprising that it would come from a source like Fox News, Dr. Ablow points out that a comprehensive analysis of 27 different fluoride studies confirms that fluoride damages brain tissue, particularly in unborn babies and young children. Such exposure to fluoride, which comes not only from drinking fluoridated water but also from bathing in it, ends up significantly lowering the average IQ level among children exposed, the analysis found.
Not only that, fluoride exposure visibly changes cellular structures in the brain, according to Dr. Ablow’s analysis of the study, which in turn increases levels of aluminum in brain tissue. This aluminum buildup coincides with the formation of beta-amyloid plaques in the brain which, as you may recall, are linked to the development of Alzheimer’s disease and various other forms of dementia.
What the Harvard study confirms, in other words, is that even relatively minimal exposure to fluoride among children and babies is linked to brain development abnormalities, dementia, and other forms of mental illness. And as we have pointed out numerous times before here at NaturalNews, fluoride also replaces natural iodine in the thyroid and other glands, causing severe hormonal changes that affect numerous aspects of human health. (http://www.naturalnews.com/031317_fluoride_iodine.html)
All of this emerging research, of course, is what prompted the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to adjust its recommendation for optimal fluoride levels in public water supplies (http://www.naturalnews.com/030952_CDC_fluoride.html). There simply is no way for so-called health experts and conventional dentists to legitimately continue denying that fluoride exposure is toxic, particularly for the youngest members of society.
Why, then, are cities like Portland, Oregon, which have long refused to jump on the fluoridation bandwagon, now suddenly considering adding fluoride to their water supplies? (http://www.naturalnews.com) This is essentially the same question being asked by Fox News‘ Dr. Ablow, who admits that, based on all the available data, it makes no scientific sense to deliver fluoride chemicals via the water supply, if at all.
You can read Dr. Ablow’s write-up here: http://www.foxnews.com

Oppose fluoridation of Portland’s water supply on September 6

Concerning Portland’s proposed addition of fluoride to the public water supply, health freedom advocates and those opposed to forcibly mass-medicating Portland residents with fluoride toxins can attend, and even speak at, an open hearing on September 6 at 2:00 pm at Portland City Hall. The hearing will take place on the second floor of the building in the Council Chambers, which is located at 1221 SW 4th Ave. in Portland.
The official City Council vote on whether or not to fluoridate will reportedly take place on September 12.
